A body care routine for dry skin should focus on strengthening the skin barrier while relieving the tightness, itching and discomfort often caused by dryness. Start by gently cleansing with a body wash that respects the skin’s natural balance without stripping its protective layer. Atoderm Shower Gel is suitable for normal to dry skin, while Atoderm Shower Oil helps nourish and soothe dry to very dry skin. Both formulas contain niacinamide and glycerin to help maintain hydration. After showering, apply a moisturising product from the BIODERMA Atoderm range such as a cream, balm or gel-cream choosing the texture that best suits your skin. Zinc gluconate helps reduce itching and feelings of discomfort, while niacinamide supports the skin barrier by stimulating the production of natural lipids.

Cleansing is the most important (and delicate) step in any body care routine for dry skin. It’s best to use a soap-free cleansing product formulated with soothing active ingredients. Atoderm Shower Gel and Atoderm Shower Oil preserve and reinforce the skin’s hydrolipidic film. The skin’s barrier function is restored for lasting comfort. After showering, remember to moisturise your skin with a rich balm or cream to help replenish essential nutrients. Key ingredients include essential fatty acids like Omega 3, 6 and 9, niacinamide and glycerin.

Body care routines for oily skin aim to rebalance sebum, which is produced in excess. This means using a gentle cleansing product formulated for oily skin that protects the skin’s hydrolipidic film. Sebium Foaming Gel respects the skin’s natural ecosystem and contains zinc sulfate for gentle purification, enabling you to target imperfections on your shoulders, décolleté and back. After showering, apply a non-greasy moisturising product - as even oily skin needs to stay hydrated.

Whatever the cause of hyperpigmentation, using targeted body care can help reduce the appearance of dark marks. BIODERMA Pigmentbio Foaming Cream gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin in the shower, helping to promote a brighter, more even complexion. Its formula contains citric acid, which helps support natural cell renewal. This first step prepares the skin to better absorb a hydrating anti-dark spot cream from the Pigmentbio range, particularly on areas prone to pigmentation such as the knees, underarms and elbows. In addition to helping unify skin tone, the cream contains glycerin to hydrate and soothe the skin, helping dark marks gradually appear less visible over time.

As skin ages naturally, it can become drier and may develop xerosis, often accompanied by uncomfortable symptoms such as irritation, flaking and itching. When the skin barrier lacks essential nutrients, it cannot function properly. Body care routines for mature skin are therefore similar to those recommended for very dry or atopic-prone skin. Choose a gentle cleansing product enriched with essential fatty acids and niacinamide, such as Atoderm Shower Oil. After showering, always apply a moisturiser that provides both water and lipids to nourish the skin. BIODERMA Atoderm Intensive Balm is suitable for severe dryness, while Atoderm Ultra Cream helps care for dry skin; both hydrate and soothe the skin immediately and over time. Ingredients such as essential fatty acids, niacinamide and zinc gluconate help reduce discomfort while leaving the skin softer and more supple.
