Choosing the right face moisturiser is essential for any skincare routine. Selecting a product suited to your skin type and concerns helps prevent dehydration, which can affect all skin types. FAQs

The role of moisturiser is to increase the skin’s water content and provide essential nutrients to restore its natural barrier function.

An effective moisturiser not only hydrates the skin but also helps regulate how water is stored and retained within it. One of the most powerful ingredients is hyaluronic acid, well known for its ability to capture and hold water, leaving the skin plump and refreshed.

At Bioderma, we have developed our own Hyalu+ Technology, which combines biomimetic high molecular weight (HMW) hyaluronic acid with a self-rehydrating sugar. This unique blend works on both the surface and deeper levels of the skin to address the internal causes of dehydration and restore long-lasting comfort.

We recommend applying face moisturiser morning and night. You can reapply it during the day if your skin feels tight, particularly when it is very cold or after a swimming session. Your skin's moisturising needs may vary according to the season and environment. This means that you may need to change your moisturiser, for example, in winter.

Apply your moisturiser morning and night, after cleansing your face, on dry skin. Apply a small amount of moisturiser in your hand and massage it into face with light, circular movements. You could apply a serum first before your moisturiser. Remember to always apply the richest texture last.

BIODERMA developed the Hydrabio range for dehydrated skin including Hydrabio Hyalu+ Serum, Hydrabio Gel-Cream and Hydrabio H20. Hydrabio products are ideal for dehydrated skin. They can also be used on normal to combination skin experiencing temporary dryness.

Contrary to popular belief, oily skin can lack water and become dehydrated. For daily use, SEbium Mat Control mattifies, moisturises and soothes combination and oily skin. If you are using an acne treatment that dries out your skin, SEbium Hydra Moisturiser has been formulated to rehydrate acne-prone skin. The formula contains active biomimetic moisturising and restructuring ingredients that counter this intense dehydration. It can be used morning and night.

BIODERMA has developed face moisturizers adapted to the different kinds of sensitive skin, including Sensibio AR+ for sensitive skin prone to rosacea. For sensitive skin prone to dryness, we recommend using Sensibio Defensive Rich. This active soothing cream, developed to strengthen the self-defense power of sensitive skin dried out by environmental aggressions.
